How to Install on an Android Device

Welcome to Atticus. One of the significant features of Atticus is that you can install a Progressive Web App (PWA) onto iOS devices. That way, you can access Atticus from your iOS device screen, just like a mobile app.  Plus, if you do this, you can open up a project and then be able to disconnect from the internet and keep writing or formatting in that project. You’ll only need to reconnect to the internet to either change projects or format. Plus, once you do reconnect, it will sync up with the system. So, with that, let’s begin in getting you setup with your iOS device.

Step 1: Open up Chrome

You’ll need to use Chrome in order to do this. If you don’t have Chrome web browser, you can download it here: https://www.google.com/chrome/

Step 2: Go to App.Atticus.io

Once you’ve opened up chrome, go to app.atticus.io.

Step 3: Install the Atticus Web App

When you arrive to the site, a popup should show up on the bottom asking if you want to “Add Atticus to Home Screen.”  Click that, and then click install.

If you don’t see the popup, then click the three dots in the top right of the screen, and click Add to Home Screen.

Enter your text here…

Now, you can find Atticus on your the home screen of your Android device. Enjoy!

Using Atticus Offline

Now that you have Atticus on your iOS device, you can use it offline. All you need to do is open it up and verify that you’re logged in and select a book you want to work on.

The only things you can’t do while offline are:

  • Import a document
  • Export a document
  • Change between books

And that’s it. The next time you connect to the internet, Atticus will sync up your online work and you’ll be golden. Enjoy!
